Google is launching the Google Workspace (ex. G Suite) Migrate tool in beta. This new product will help administrators evaluate and plan migration projects and confidently migrate large amounts of valuable content directly to G Suite.
G Suite Migrate is built on top of the technology acquired by Google in 2017, Cloud AppBridge.
Migrate large amounts of company data securely with Google Workspace (ex. G Suite) Migrate, making it easy to migrate to G-Suite.
Precisely, G Suite Migrate does:
- Assess: Scan the environment from where data needs to be migrated to help accurately plan the critical milestones of a migration project.
- Migration: moving valuable data from various sources
- Track the identification and control of the progress of the migration project.
- Google Workspace (ex. G Suite) administrators can learn more and apply for a Google Workspace (ex. G Suite) Migrate connection here.
G Suite Migrate supports content migration from the following sources: Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and file shares.
The beta version will support:
- Exchange: Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016, and Office 365.
- Sharepoint: SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- File shares: Windows file servers, NAS, SAN, network shares, and NFS repositories.
- Google Workspace (ex. G Suite) Business, Enterprise, G Suite Enterprise Education, and Drive Enterprise customers can register for the Google Workspace (ex. G Suite) Migrate beta program.
