About the client: Founded in October of 2013, Cryptopay is a wallet and payment platform where merchants and consumers can make transactions with each other while also being backed by the new Bitcoin payment protocol. Cryptopay, among the most popular digital currency service providers in Europe, is a digital currency firm offering crypto-wallets, debit cards, B2B payments, & investments.

Challenge: Cryptopay recognized the need to streamline its operations for better communication and collaboration. Here, enter Google Workspace, a suite of productivity tools that includes Gmail, Docs, Calendar, Meet, and other services aimed to streamline daily workflows and enhance identity and security. With these tools, Cryptopay experienced a transformation in how they operate.

Cryptopay has been starting with the Google Workspace Business Starter edition. Still, during the company scaling, the need for growth in the amount of storage per person and participants in Google Meet did not stand by. Therefore, Cryptopay has been transitioning to a more proficient plan – Business Standard.

Moreover, the company wanted to optimize their resources and find more convenient ways to pay for the licenses. That’s when the effective collaboration with Cloudfresh, Google Cloud Premier Partner, began.

 

Solutions: By transitioning to the Business Standard edition from the Starter, Cryptopay immediately closed their storage needs, getting from 30 GB to 2TB pooled storage per user. The Goole Meet participants’ limit has also been changed: instead of 100 max participants, the company got 150 with an option to record video meetings, which is unavailable in the Starter Plan.

But that’s not all! Many other Google Workspace services, along with the two editions and the long pass of Cryptopay work with Google Workspace, starting from 2014, have been constantly streamlining the company’s operations. Let’s pull back the curtain of their usefulness!

Gmail: Cryptopay’s team now enjoys lightning-fast email communication with the Gmail platform. This enhanced email system keeps their communications flowing smoothly, enabling no more lost emails or frustrating delays.

Docs: Google Docs enables Cryptopay’s team to create, edit, and share documents in real time. Whether it’s drafting proposals or fine-tuning reports, the power of Docs ensures that everyone is on the same page.

Calendar: Keeping track of meetings and deadlines is a piece of cake with Google Calendar. Cryptopay’s team schedules meetings, sets reminders, and shares events effortlessly, using the high integration of this platform with the other Google Workspace services.

Meet: Google Meet brings Cryptopay’s team together no matter where they are with high-quality video calls relevant to the company’s needs, the number of participants allowed to be in the meeting simultaneously, and additional video recording features so as not to miss anything valuable from the discussions.

One of the other crucial aspects of Cryptopay’s operations was a simplified Identity & Access Management that allows it to manage resource permissions with minimal effort and maximum automation. With the help of this tool, the admins can ensure the right people have access to the right resources while maintaining security and effortlessly managing user identities. They can control access to sensitive data and applications, enhancing their overall security posture.

The Directory API is another time saver for the Cryptopay operations that allows administrators to manage users, groups, and user aliases programmatically, reducing the risk of errors in manual user management. When a worker leaves the company, all the accesses, files, and data are simply and securely kept and, if needed, transmitted to the other worker.

Teaming up with Cloudfresh, Cryptopay embarked on a journey to fine-tune their financial management and discovered a more user-friendly way to settle the bills—through invoicing. Initially, as a direct contractor with Google Workspace, Cryptopay had to make all payments via card. However, this wasn’t the most convenient option for them. This transition improved operational efficiency and enhanced financial control and flexibility for Cryptopay.
