Having spent more than 15 years in cybersecurity, Maksym Shapoval is all-in on blending technical expertise and strategic leadership. His work covers the full lifecycle of cyberdefense programs, from developing policies and architectures to managing large initiatives that protect complex digital environments.
Maksym has extensive experience building information security systems that follow strict international standards, including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, COBIT, GDPR, and TISAX. At the technical level, he specializes in firewall technologies, policy and access control, application networking, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and beyond. The goal is always to make sure that security solutions are both strong and operationally practical.
On top of architecture and compliance, Maksym has led cybersecurity product management initiatives and played a key role in documenting and standardizing technical processes. His work helps bridge the gap between protection strategy, engineering teams, and business goals.
Maksym has also built and managed high-performing teams across multiple security and technology domains from the ground up, actively mentoring professionals and supporting organization-wide knowledge-sharing.
