As an API Engineer at Cloudfresh, you’ll play a key role in building seamless data connectivity between cutting-edge cloud platforms and enterprise systems.

You’ll work on high-impact projects for clients across EMEA, helping them unlock the full potential of Google Apigee and other leading integration tools.

This is a hands-on role that blends engineering, architecture, and client collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in integration engineering or API development.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with Google Apigee (Apigee Edge or Apigee X), including API proxy design, policies, and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth2, JWT, and API security best practices.
  • Experience with integration patterns (e.g., Request-Response Integration, Polling Pattern, Webhook Pattern, Publish-Subscribe Pattern).
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar) for custom logic within integrations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated deployments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain API proxies, policies, and integrations using Apigee Edge / Apigee X.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to design integration architectures aligned with business requirements and best practices.
  • Implement RESTful and SOAP API integrations, including authentication, authorization, throttling, transformation, and mediation.
  • Work with internal teams and clients to integrate cloud-based and on-premise systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Optimize and monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain API documentation, standards, and reusable templates.
  • Stay up to date with emerging integration technologies, API security standards (OAuth2, JWT), and best practices.
  • Support pre-sales and solution design discussions when integration expertise is required.

Would be a plus:

  • Experience working with multiple API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Kong, Mulesoft, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management).
  • Cloud Architect/Engineer on Apigee Certified
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
  • Experience with iPaaS platforms or ESB solutions.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized deployments.
  • Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
