GitLab and Google Cloud Expand Partnership with Managed Services and New AI Models

GitLab and Google Cloud widened their partnership on June 10, 2026, and the headline is simple. You can now run GitLab as a fully managed platform on Google Cloud, delivered through GitLab-certified managed service providers.

Here’s what’s new. The latest Gemini models, including Gemini 3.5, are now available inside GitLab Duo Agent Platform, supporting use cases ranging from code completion and review suggestions to architectural decisions and complex security analysis. GitLab Duo Self-Hosted now supports Gemma 4 for teams that need greater control over where AI workloads run.

For regulated industries, the managed offering lets organizations maintain full control over where their code, pipelines, and security data reside while running GitLab on Google Cloud infrastructure. And procurement gets easier too. GitLab and GitLab Duo Agent Platform are now on Google Cloud Marketplace, so you can apply existing Google Cloud commitments toward GitLab purchases and consolidate platform, inference, and infrastructure costs into a single bill.

This builds on the April 2026 collaboration that let teams call Google models through GitLab Duo Agent Platform against their Google Cloud commitments.
