Google Workspace Gemini Side Panel Now Supports 17 New Languages

Google has expanded the Gemini side panel in Google Workspace to support 17 additional languages! This expansion comes as Google prioritizes making AI tools accessible to a broader global audience, reflecting the increasingly international nature of modern work.

How to Check If Your Language is Supported:

• Admins: The default setting for Gemini features in Workspace services is on.
• End Users:
  Gemini in the side panel will work according to the language you set in your Google account language settings. If you’re accessing other Gemini for Google Workspace features that are only supported in English, you’ll need to set your Google Account language to English.

Additional Details:

• Gemini in the side panel of Slides and Chat is currently only available in English.
• Image generation of people is not supported in these additional languages at this time.
