Cloudfresh Congratulates Washmen on the ‘2026 AI Breakthrough in EMEA’ Title by Asana

If you think about it, AI is quite a breakthrough in itself. But when we heard that Washmen, our visionary customer based in the UAE, had been named a breakthrough within that breakthrough, we couldn’t wait to share the news.

Who Are Washmen?

If you aren’t familiar with them yet, Washmen is the UAE’s go-to app for laundry, dry cleaning, and even shoe and bag care. Behind the scenes, they run a massive, high-tech 30,000-square-foot facility in Dubai.

They didn’t just build it overnight, and spent 18 solid months doing deep R&D and picking the brains of 20 top global operators. All that obsession with quality and scale paid off, as they’re currently ranked #1 in the UAE, #1 in Asia, and an incredible #3 in the entire world.

What Is an AI Breakthrough?

This award is all about celebrating those who don’t just talk a big game about AI. It’s for the company that’s actually putting it to work behind the scenes to move forward quickly, smooth out the bumps, and make people’s daily jobs legitimately better.

Basically, to take home the prize, Washmen had to prove they’ve changed what a normal workday looks like.

  • We aren’t talking about gimmicks here. The tech has to be genuinely helpful in daily processes and show results you can measure.
  • There needs to be solid proof that AI is handling all things repetitive so the human team can get back to the work that matters.
  • AI can’t just be a one-off experiment run by one department. It has to be something everyone in the company gets, shares, and uses together.
  • No pilot programs or beta tests allowed. The tech has to be a natural part of their day-to-day, with more and more of the team jumping on board over time.

What Made Washmen Stand Out?

So, how exactly have they pulled this off? It all comes down to four Asana AI Teammates working together. One finishes its job and passes the floor straight to the next without a single human needing to step in and manage the handoff.

The result? Washmen slashed their average claim resolution time from two or sometimes three days down to just six hours. To put that in perspective, every single AI Teammate they activate is currently doing the work of one full-time employee.

Washmen also built the system to be incredibly proactive. It auto-spots high-risk damage issues before a garment ever hits the production floor. That is a massive safety net when you’re handling high-end fashion, where a single claim on a ruined luxury item can easily cost upwards of AED 10,000.

Something really exciting is how the tech analyzes claims, especially when it comes to reading photos. No human is looking at pictures trying to figure out what went wrong anymore. Instead, the system actually scans the attached images, reads the full context of the ticket, and suggests what to do next.

The staff honestly wasn’t expecting the image-reading feature to be that reliable, but it ended up being a huge surprise win. Heavy cross-checking is no longer on the team’s to-do list, and it can make fast, consistent calls on tricky cases.

On top of that, Washmen leaned into Asana AI Studio to smooth out their communication. The system automatically pulls the right details from a case and drafts the customer emails for them. It keeps the tone totally consistent and saves even more time.

When you step back and look at the hard numbers, the change is almost unbelievable:

  • Washmen is saving 30% to 35% of their time every single week.
  • They dropped manual, repetitive tasks by 40% to 50%, completely getting rid of duplicated steps and clunky workflows.
  • Customer emails get turned around 25% to 30% faster, and the messaging is perfectly clear and accurate, too.
  • Overall task turnaround and internal approvals are running 30% to 35% quicker, meaning Washmen is easily hitting SLAs.
“We are humbled by the award. At Washmen, we are convinced our adoption of AI is still in its early stages. As co-founders, Rami and I see it as our mission to reimagine our company as if we were launching it today, and then build out the processes and organization to deliver on that rejuvenation. Asana, because of its early and continuous AI innovations, has become an integral tool within our AI stack.”

Washmen’s engineering team also wired their internal operations dashboard directly into Asana. Thanks to this setup, the system automatically spins up and updates around 7,500 task cards every single month for their ShoeCare and specialist services without a single person having to do any manual data entry.

As garments and shoes move from station to station on the facility floor, quick physical barcode scans update the digital cards in Asana. It basically creates a live, digital twin of the entire operation that shows the team exactly what’s happening on the ground in real time.

What Was the Role of Cloudfresh?

Before all of this, Washmen was honestly dealing with a lot of manual work. They were going through claim histories by hand, catching up to make refund decisions, and relying on third-party automation tools that eventually just tapped out when the order volume got too high.

To fix this, Washmen teamed up with Cloudfresh, a Platinum-tier Asana Partner, to roll out Asana AI Studio. The best part of this rollout? There was zero generic, boring corporate training. We looked directly at the most pressing pain points Washmen faced every single day and turned those exact scenarios into AI workflows that provided immediate relief.

Our experts answered any and all questions on the fly, which built up the team’s confidence incredibly fast. Everything was up, running, and producing real value in under two weeks, with each individual AI Teammate taking just three to five minutes to set up.

What started out as a little tech experiment went totally viral internally. Suddenly, the Laundry, Customer Service, and Management teams all wanted in. At the end of the day, Washmen stepped away from those old third-party tools entirely and brought their whole operation onto one majorly self-running platform.

And they aren’t stopping there. Cloudfresh is still right by their side, helping Washmen scale and tweak their Asana Enterprise and AI Studio setup as the business continues to grow.

“Working closely with Washmen, we’ve seen first-hand how their team has redefined what operational excellence looks like in a legacy service industry. By leveraging Asana’s capabilities and building a truly integrated system, Washmen has moved beyond simple automation to create a scalable, real-time operational model. It’s a strong example of how the right implementation can unlock both efficiency and long-term business impact.”
