The history of Asana at Master of Code Global began more than 7 years ago. At that time, the company was simultaneously scaling two major divisions: IT outsourcing services and in-house product development. However, managing workflows was complicated by a fragmented toolset that created barriers to clear task oversight and coordination:
In 2025, Master of Code Global made a strategic move. The company began refining its operating model and sought support from Cloudfresh, an Asana Platinum Solutions Partner in GCC.
During active expansion into global markets, the company needed to modernize its processes. At that time, Master of Code Global had not yet established a centralized PMO (Project Management Office). Project managers worked autonomously, using their own methodologies and disconnected tools.
An internal audit revealed that in 95% of cases, Jira was used only at a basic level. Meanwhile, Confluence remained a static archive of documents that were frequently duplicated in Google Docs.
These factors created three primary challenges:
This stage laid the groundwork for further process scaling. In 2025, with the support of Cloudfresh, Master of Code Global moved to the next phase of their strategy: full process consolidation and a total transition to Asana.
With the arrival of a Delivery Director experienced in building systemic processes, and through close collaboration with the PMO, the company began its search.
The team, led by the Operations Manager, tested six leading tools. Despite a higher cost, Asana became the clear favorite—thanks to the functionality of Asana Portfolios, which was unique at the time. No other competitor, including ClickUp and Monday.com, provided the same level of transparency and control over the project portfolio.
You can find more details on why Asana remained the preferred choice in our expert comparisons of Asana vs. Monday.com and Asana vs. ClickUp.

The pilot implementation of Asana began with the PMO team in 2019. In just one month, the team developed and implemented an architecture that included:
The success of the pilot led to the rapid adoption of the tool across the company. Asana became the operational hub not only for managers but also for HR, Recruiting, Marketing, and Pre-Sales departments. Thanks to internal expertise, personalized demonstrations, and the administrator’s deep dive into each team’s needs, the full deployment of the platform across the company was completed in a record two months.
The decision to transition the development teams was based on three factors: cost optimization, the underutilization of Jira, and native time-tracking in Asana, which was previously missing from its functionality. For a full comparison of these solutions, see our detailed review: Asana vs. Jira.
The technical migration was completed in four days during the summer of 2025. Teams received access, and projects were transferred using the native Asana Links for Jira functionality, after which each team independently verified the migration’s accuracy. No issues were identified.

Currently, only the infrastructure team remains in Jira. Their operational board has a complex hierarchy and unique technical add-ons. Full migration of this segment was deemed impractical for now. However, internal experts are already evaluating possible solutions, and Asana is among the top contenders for implementation.
As a leader in AI development, Master of Code Global approached the implementation of internal AI tools with a highly balanced perspective. Their priority was maintaining an equilibrium between process speed and strict security standards. Today, Asana AI is an essential part of the company’s operating system, changing work across three areas:
A key advantage of Asana AI for the company was the ability to analyze data without using external services. Unlike public LLM models, where data requires manual anonymization, Asana’s intelligent assistant works within the user’s closed and secure environment. This allows the team to receive project summaries and analyze risks instantly while maintaining full confidentiality of commercial information.

Master of Code Global views Asana as a platform that evolves alongside the company. Particular attention is focused on developing native time-tracking, which is necessary to automate monthly reporting and client invoicing. Plans also include strengthening cross-project automation through AI Studio tools. Such steps will allow for even deeper coordination of operational processes with business goals.
To maximize similar initiatives, Cloudfresh has developed a suite of professional Asana services for businesses in UAE, KSA, Qatar, and the rest of GCC that help fully utilize the platform’s potential and build an organic operational ecosystem for the company.
